Makes me want to read the book. Thrilled to see 'Nigel Slater' on the shelf behind; someone who really understands the visceral bolt of joy that comes from the freshest ingredients, prepared with a minimum of fuss. I have always read ' Take the freshest ingredients and do as little as possible to them'.
I couldn't agree more. Great job on the book – and at lovefood.com, Andrew.

The book is a great read but why didn't you come to Northamptonshire. We also have some fabulous food.

HI Angela. I didn't intend to miss it. It just sort of happened that way. I have friends in Northamptonshire who when every we visit buy amazing local produce and tell me how good it is. Perhaps it's one for the errata!
